 To be born in a family, related to the art is a destiny that inevitably puts your life under the the lime lights.
Viktoria Arsova happens to have this chance, with a mother – choreographer in the Folklore dances ensemble at Sredetz cultural club (among others).
Viktoria (born on the 17.01 in Sofia) was just 5 years old, when she went on her mother’s steps in the folklore dancing. During the years she has multiple participations with the ensemble in the country and abroad. The have regular presentations in Turkey, Greece and Macedonia, where they show our folklore dancing’s beauty.
Her arrival in the Mestro Amguelov choir is almost an accident, but there she discovers her musical talent, which until this moment has remained undiscovered by parents and friends.
Since 1999 she works with music teachers and makes her first studio records. She works hard to build her carrier as a singer with participations in the “hit minus edno” broadcast for young performers on the National television, where she wins the first place for May 2003. And this turns out to be the right place in the right time, because there she meets the guitar-player of an unknown group, which has just split out with their girl-vocal. He likes Viki and her stage behavior and invites her to try with them. The guys love her, in spite of her nervousness. So she starts to work with them immediately. Naturally, as the only girl – the princess of the group – she gives it her name – “Viktoria band”. After that there are many club performances in Sofia and in September 2003 they go to a one-week tour in Western Europe along with Optima Express. After their return, they continue with the night-club performances and this experience habituates Viki to the stage.
In July 2004 “Viktoria band” goes working in South Korea and plays in the luxurious night clubs of Seoul and Taegu during 7 months.
Right after her return in Bulgaria she heard from some friends about a television reality show – casting for young performers. Viki is among the first chosen from Star Academy to become the new Bulgarian stars.
In this show the young singer shows before the whole country her skills for team-work, her talent and intelligence. These qualities have been noticed also by her teachers in Star Academy, who by the way are among the most popular in the country. Star Academy gives Viki the opportunity to become one of the public’s favorites, and she climbs right to the finals without even one expel nomination, which makes her a moral winner.
Star Academy is over and Viki goes back to Viktoria band. Soon they realize the song “Syn ili Magia” (Dream or Magic) – a debut for the young singer and her group. The song is written by Dejan Kamenov – Dido /another Star Academy participant and subsequently main singer in D2. The song grabs the public and the critics and is listed to participate in the BG radio competition – BG talents.
Since February 2006 Viki decides to go back to her first love – folklore dancing - along with the music. Ths time as a teacher, parallel to her superior studies of “Bulgarian Folklore dances”. Definitely Viktoria is one of the most loved young performers. Each of her appearances is accompanied by many fens, who give her faith and courage for her development.
